I am back on my new quarter at school. This quarter will be full of location pictures and Photoshop pixs. I am really stoked about my location class and nervous and excited about Photoshop. If anyone wants to be a model for my location class (or Photoshop class) just let me know.

I never thought that I would love still life shots so much. It also amazes me what you can do with a large format camera. You really have complete control over where people look and what is important in your shot. I am sooo glad that I went to school to learn more. The Art Institute has helped my photography grow so much.

Last Wednesday was my birthday and I created the best gift for me. This is the Health and Beauty shot I just did for my studio class. It totally rocks and made my day. I really think this is one for my portfolio. Please don't be afraid to share your comments.

30th National Veterans' Wheelchair Games. “Games with Heart….A Mile High”Denver, Colorado, July 4-9, 2010. I am soo excited to participate in these games. My friend Brandon told me about them. How wonderful it is to have good friends who think of me. I am signing up to do a bunch of different events and can't wait to see which I will get to do. These are the pictures of the baby of the month. In November we took pictures of the whole family. His grandma loves him so much.

In October we took his Halloween portraits. What a cute little Tiger. We love to do Halloween portraits because you can add wonderful props.

The little guy is starting to stand up when propped. We love how excited he looks.

When I went to Moab, last September, I visited Canyon Lands. I was amazed at the grand beauty of the place. How wonderful it is that God would make such a beautiful place for me to enjoy. These photographs were taken at night. I love how the rocks have a silver glow to them.

This is my Cowboy Family. How fitting to have the pictures is sepia. I would love to do a cowboy sitting for you. We did do these pictures at their home in front the barn but, what a way to personialize your portraits. The family is making a collage of these pictures on the wall. The couple in a 16x20 (we call it size D) with the kids around in 8x10's. What a great way to fill up the wall space.

During the first week of June I went to the prarie east of Eaton, Colorado to photograph these white flowers called the prarie rose. My mother-in-law read in the paper that these flowers have not bloomed so much in 50 years. It really looked like it had snown.

June has been a very busy month for me. I started the month off with a couple of portrait sessions that went very well. Then I went to Grays Harbor County Washington for a vacation. What a beautiful part of the world. I came home did some catch up and preparations for my camping trip for church. We went to wide wonderful Wyoming. Another beautiful part of the world. How blessed are we to have such a beautiful world to live in. Despite all my travels in June I am excited to get back to work. I will be loading many of the photographs I have taken over the last month and keep an eye out for some of the specials I am running. You don't want to miss out on a great portrait opportunity. This is the paw print from my big Max dog. He is a big boxer that loves to play in the rain. He was outside with me while I was taking picture of the puddles and left these beautiful prints. I couldn't not take a picture of such a perfect paw print.

These are days 7-9. The sunsets are just beautiful on the western prairie. On Saturday I was driving home and looked in my mirror to a beautiful sunset and deceided that I should take a picture that way. It is just a different way to look into the world.

The 90 Day Project

I have started a photography project and I am going to be very original and call it The 90 Day Project. I am going to photograph something everyday for 90 days and then publish the photos on my blog. I want people to be able to see my creative work, things I have found to be beautiful, where I have grown, along with where my portrait business is going.

I started on May 12, 2009 and have been amazed that there has been something for me to photograph everyday. The snake pictures were inspired of God and I realized that God wants me to succeed in my goals. How often can you go outside and there are two snakes right there waiting to be photographed. I hope you enjoy the pictures and keep coming back to see what is new.

The picture of the rose above is day one. I received beautiful roses for Mother's Day and wanted to photograph them first. I love all the details in this picture.
